What is a Brazilian Blow Out?
A Brazilian BlowOut is a professional, customizable smoothing treatment that improves the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle.
You can keep your curls and define them with this treatment, or you can go for a sleek and smooth look. This is a great service for all hair types, whether you have wavy, straight, curly, or coily hair. Your hair will look crazy shiny when we’re finished, and the entire treatment takes about 2 hours total! When you’re done with the treatment, you can resume life as normal--take a shower that night, wash your hair, exercise, or put your hair up. There is no waiting period like there is with other smoothing or straightening systems.
This service is great for curly girls that want Natural Beaded Rows but don’t want the hassle of blow drying their own hair for 2 hours! It is the perfect starter investment prior to getting Natural Beaded Rows.
This is NOT the heavily criticized service that requires masks and ventilation and produces a ton of steam and smoke. This product does not contain any formaldehyde!
What happens during a Brazilian BlowOut service?
You’ll arrive for your appointment and we will have a thorough discussion about your current hair situation, your wants and needs, your hair history, and your lifestyle. Once we have determined the plan, I will begin the treatment with an invigorating cleansing service. The hair is cleansed with an ionic cleanser that will remove build up, impurities, debris, and will prep the hair for the service.

After thoroughly towel-drying the hair, I apply the Brazilian BlowOut smoothing solution to damp hair. I comb the product through the hair, taking care to avoid the scalp (we want volume!) and making sure to distribute the product evenly. Once the product is applied globally, get ready for the smoothest, shiniest blow dry of your LIFE. I blow dry the hair smooth and sleek with a boar bristle brush, drying the product into the hair. Once the hair is 100% dry, I go through the hair with a flat iron to seal the product into the hair. The amount of passes I perform with the flat iron will determine your outcome.
This is always the part that breaks my heart a little bit--we are going back to the shampoo bowl! I rinse out all of the product and finish with the final step of the service: the ionic bonding spray. This spray is specially formulated to effectively seal the cuticle of the hair, leaving your hair super soft, shiny, and healthy!
We finish your service with a final blow dry and style, and you leave the salon with happy, soft, healthy hair!

Who is the best candidate for a Brazilian BlowOut?
Good candidates for the Brazilian BlowOut treatment are anyone that has frizzy, damaged, or processed hair. This treatment has been performed on every hair type (wavy/straight/fine/course/curly/frizzy) as well as hair that has been permed, Japanese straightened, and extensions. With proper communication and a well considered application, everyone can benefit from the Brazilian BlowOut smoothing treatment.
What kind of look will you get from a Brazilian BlowOut?
Your hair will be left totally frizz-free, shiny, and effortlessly manageable. You’ll have plenty of body and bounce, and there are several styling options! You can wear your hair curly/wavy (depending on your hair type), and you’ll have the freedom to blow dry hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time invested prior to receiving the treatment.
Can I still receive a Brazilian BlowOut if I have highlights or color?
YES! The Brazilian BlowOut will actually improve the health of color-treated and highlighted hair by conditioning the hair and sealing the cuticle for enhanced color, reduced frizz, and radiant shine!
Is the Brazilian BlowOut going to make my hair straight?
If your hair is WAVY, the Brazilian BlowOut will make your hair appear smooth and healthy. If your hair is very CURLY, it will minimize frizz while enhancing the appearance of your natural wave/curl. If your hair is STRAIGHT, your hair will eliminate frizz and promote radiant shine.
How long does the Brazilian BlowOut last?
The Brazilian BlowOut will last for up to 12 weeks. The Brazilian BlowOut is a cumulative treatment, and the more often you receive it, the healthier the hair will be and the longer the treatment will last.
Can you apply the Brazilian BlowOut directly on top of other relaxers and straighteners?
Yes! The Brazilian BlowOut works best on chemically treated hair, and helps to improve the condition of the hair by fortifying each strand with essential amino acids.
Will my hair lose volume if I receive the Brazilian BlowOut?
Nope! Your hair will not lose volume as a result of receiving the Brazilian BlowOut treatment. Your hair will maintain its natural volume and you will still have great bend and memory when blow drying or using a curling iron.
Can you color your hair the same day you receive a Brazilian BlowOut?
Yes, but you MUST color the hair PRIOR to receiving the Brazilian BlowOut treatment (it’s super great for sealing in that fresh color!). If you get a Brazilian BlowOut and wish to get a color service at a later date, you will need to wait 2 weeks.
